Auto Cena vs autoDNA: What's the difference?

When buying or selling a used car, you might look for tools like Auto Cena or autoDNA. Both can help, but they do different things. Here we explain the difference between Auto Cena and autoDNA so you know when to use which.
What is Auto Cena?
Auto Cena is a car valuation and used car ads platform. You get an AI-based car price estimate (by make, model, year, mileage, etc.) and can browse used car ads with price evaluations—so you see how each listing's price compares to the predicted value and fair market value. It helps sellers set a fair price and buyers avoid overpaying or spot suspiciously low prices.
What is autoDNA?
autoDNA (autodna.lv) is a vehicle history report service. You enter a car's VIN (vehicle identification number) and get a report on that specific vehicle: whether it has been in accidents, reported as stolen, had its odometer rolled back, or had other damage or repairs recorded in databases. Reports are paid and draw on data from many countries and sources.

Key differences
Auto Cena answers: "What is this car (or similar cars) worth?" It does not identify a specific vehicle by VIN. autoDNA answers: "What is the history of this exact car?" It does not estimate market value. So: Auto Cena = price and value; autoDNA = history and condition of one vehicle.
Can I use both?
Yes. For a specific car you're considering, use autoDNA to check its VIN history (damage, theft, odometer). Use Auto Cena to see what that type of car is worth and how the ad's price compares. Together they help you buy and sell with more confidence.
